About: Roger

Ever since I can remember, I was always surrounded by music, being from my dad's

old school Kenwood stack stereo, or out of his aftermarket speakers sitting on the rear dash of his 1980-something Oldsmobile. Little did I know that would make a huge impact on my life later on down the road.

I remember sitting at dinner and my dad randomly asking "who sings this?", which was a question we got A LOT. It's actually something we still do and I find myself asking my wife and kids, secretly hoping they also receive my love for music.

Not too many years later,  my uncle gave me his old Pioneer stack stereo, which set the start of my real love for music. I would sit in my room, drowning out the world. Being a teenager, listening all day, thinking "wow, these songs have a lot of feeling and emotions I am feeling". The only pause in music was when I was changing CDs.

One of my favorite quotes that fit my teenage years perfectly is "If you ever get lonely, you just go to the record store and visit your friends".

Well, I made it out of my teenage years and now get the privilege of annoying my son and daughter (and my wife of course) with "who sings this?" or taking it up a notch with "what movie is this song from?", really hoping they can find the same solace that I was able to find in music when times got rough.

I'm very excited to sit down with my best friend, whom I consider a brother, and talk about my favorite subject while drinking my favorite beverage, and maybe help a few people see music in from a different perspective or open them up to something they never knew along the way.
